Coney Island Mermaid Parade



  First held in 1983 in Brooklyn, Coney Island has always been to the beach in summer the temperature of hot rush "mermaid
parade". Scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on June 21.Attracting more than 50 million visitors visit this event, there are some Asians in recent years, dressed as mermaids look like with the procession of people.

 

Parade has always been known forbold styling theme of the parade of the underwater world, and now has become the nation’s largest art parade, According to cases in practice, followed in the procession after the King and Queen of the night, each participating artists are all his charm, including the strange octopus and glamorous mermaids, crap, shrimp, and performances and other programs. Its very interesting. You have to see it !

    In recent years, the United States, Japan and India said China (PRC) is a biggest threat.  China (PRC) a mystic world, no one can find out their military, government, trade,financial affairs and economic.  The next decades, the International Relations analysts China’s  will be the surperpower. Therefore, the world is not get ready for China (PRC) hegemony.

     China is such a big country, which is the embodiment of 5,000 years of civilization. Today, the world will have to understand China; China will have to be seeing.  Such as Expo, The Asian Games, which caused china’s growing international.  Oppositely, Liu Xiaobo who imprisoned Chinese dissident  won the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize.   But China can’t accept this prize.   And China blacked out the news.  The international said that was a  pretty thing for a world power to do. 

  The world can’t accept China’s (PRC) recent behavior.  If China don't  advancing toward a greater role in the international and China masters the hegemony. Then We can anticipate that every country will have enormous change.

     A colorful Christmas tree over 11 million US dollars is opening in Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi. To increase the luxurious Christmas colors in the United Arab Emirates. This tree, inaugurated on Dec.15, 13 meters high, stand in the hotel holds a total of 181 diamonds, pearls, emeralds, sapphires and other precious stones and decorated with gold leaves, ribbons, and some white lights. Emirates Palace hotel general manager Hans Olbertz said: “The value of the tree itself only about $ 10,000, and the jewelry worth over 11 million U.S dollars, I guess there are 11.4 million or 11.5 million.”

  

     Emirates Palace stressed that the jewels were loan from the Abu Dhabi gallery which had paid all the costs of making and decorating the tree. He said that this would probably be included in the Guinness Book of Word Records, Emirates Palace Hotel will to make contact with the Guinness Book of Records.

Investigators and people found strange phenomena up in the sky. It is not a natural sign and is so obvious to be observed thus some people with curiosity would try to study further with it.

 

Chemtrail is a phenomena that when aircrafts discharge certain gas which meets the cold air outside the sky and known as contrail. The government and mainstream media are trying to hide the bad influences of Chemtrail which is aircrafts' emission in the air.

Wetlands are ecosystem themselves with abundant species and, in Taiwan, locate near the cross line of ocean and river. Some scarce migratory birds such as Black-faced Spoonbills fly to get through the cold season in the wetlands of Taiwan.

     
     
Because of the precious resources of wetlands, investors and environmentalists. 
Always fight for their reservation. Recently , red wine and heart disease is the top issue in medicine.

According to many researches , cardiologist consider that red wine may be one of way that can reduce your risk of heart disease,

Because they find red wine contains particular antioxidants, flavonoids and nonflavonoids ,that may not only can help you keep your heart healthy but also can reduce your risk of heart disease. Most importantly is red wine contains higher quantities that making it a potential heart healthy point.

 

By the way, it is no necessary that everyone have to start drinking if you do not drink alcohol or drink red wine. Because drinking too much also may bring some negative influence , such as higher levels of fats in your blood, sudden cardiac death, increased blood pressure…..and so on.

For all this , if you are a drink red wine as a way to reduce you heart disease people , they appeal that you should not drink too over and you should keep your drink to moderate levels to avoid health risks .

On the December 14^th, 2010, the U.S. authorities expressed that they had cracked an international online child’s pornography called “Lost Boy”. Twenty people from the five different countries were prosecuted in this case. 

The forum “Lost Boy” comprised about thirty members; they used the forum to exchange videos and pictures of child pornography which obvious described young boys in sexually obscene.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) said sixteen prisoners are in the United State; the others are in the France, Germany, Belgium and New Zealand. And five of them have already confessed that they had producing and plotting spread the videos and pictures of child pornography.

 The FBI director Steven Martinez said “this case shows a global subculture that exist for spread things of child’s pornography and sexually exploit children”.

Montreal’s goalkeeper Price saved 25 for Montreal, but it was not enough to defeat Colorado’s aggressive charging.

Taekwondo federation accuses Taiwan athlete of cheating, but pictures tell a different tale

November,17,2010 at the Asian Games the Taiwanese taekwondo athlete Yang Shu-chun for allegedly attaching illegal sensors to heels. The head of the World Taekwondo Federation has put forward and retracted different reasons for the disqualification. The footage is clear, but in the pictures published in Friday’s United Daily News still issued a press release with the title “Shocking Act of Deception by Chinese Taipei.” The article accuses Yang of cheating. It’s extremely unfair to Taiwanese taekwondo athlete athletes.

The uproar continues. Sports officials are furious over the disqualification and say Yang Shu-chun wasn’t wearing the sensors during the match, Moreover, everyone want to know why the head of the World Taekwondo Federation has put forward and retracted different reasons for the disqualification.

      According to Taiwan Taekwondo Coach said before the competition, we need to do test kicks on our electric protective gear to see if it can register points. A trial kick is one point. We did one to the left and one to the right. After the two points, the technician to the front said that we needed to remove those two sensors. Before the match, we removed them. Then Yang gave them to me.

    The World Taekwondo Federation has already said that the Asian Taekwondo Union’s press release was inappropriate. Nevertheless, it stands by Yang’s disqualification, although its reason is unclear. On Wednesday, federation secretary-general Yang Jin-suk said that the older version of socks and sensors Yang Shu-chun used had been banned since 2007. But a day later he changed course, saying the athlete was disqualified for using two extra sensors. On Friday, the secretary-general apologized for putting forward different reasons for the disqualification.
Despite the apology, the Sports Affairs Council is furious at the way Yang Shu-chun has been treated. It is considering asking for a judgment from the International Court of Arbitration for Sport.

2010 Taipei International Floar Expo Opening

  After preparing for nearly four years and spending US$300 million, the Taipei City government pronounced the Taipei International Flora Exposition ready to go today in this winter, the day before its official opening. The six-month long expo, covering 91.8 hectares of parkland in the heart of the city, will feature approximately 800 species of Taiwan's world famous orchids, over 30 million stems of locally grown and developed plants, and garden designs from over 59 cities and 93 organizations.

 

  To celebrate the start of the 2010 Taipei International Flora Expo, Taipei City Government will be organizing a major firework spectacle at two separate locations on November 6 and amaze the world with Taiwan's "flower power."

Shilin Night Market

       Taipei is an internationalized city of immigrants, and all kinds of restaurants have sprung up to satisfy the diverse appetites of its different residents. Cuisine of all nations is available here, along with all of the regional foods of mainland China and snacks from the different parts of Taiwan--and, of course, vegetarian food too. For visitors, dining in Taipei is convenient and something to be eagerly anticipated, for the city can satisfy whatever palate the gourmand brings to the table.

       The Shilin night market gathers snacks from all over Taiwan. Everything is here, including such famous delicacies as knife-sliced noodles, pork kidney soup, oyster omelet, Kaohsiung meat balls, little-cake-in-big-cake, Shilin sausages, tomatoes in ginger juice, Dongshan duck heads, frogs-laying-eggs, stir-fried squid, and chili-sauce dumplings.

       In addition, the natural beauties of Yangmingshan National Park, the community of animals at Muzha Zoo, the priceless treasures of Chinese art in the National Palace Museum, and the tranquil and classic Zhishan Garden are all well worth a leisurely visit.

The Asian Games

     Athletes, coaches, and journalists from 45 regions will gather in November 2010 for the 16^th Asian Games, which will be hosted in Guangzhou.  The 2010 Asian Games’ official mascots are five goats, traditionally a symbol of good luck in Chinese culture.  The goat is also representative of the host city, which is called the “City of Five Goats.”  Each of the five mascots has an auspicious name meaning luck, harmony, joy, success, and great happiness.

The Asian Games have a lot of the same events as the Olympics, but there are also a few that stand out.  Billiards, bowling, and chess are very popular indoor sports, so they have been included in the Games.  Dragon boat races are common during the Dragon Boat Festival, but at the Asian Games, teams will be competing for medals.  Even odd sports like kabaddi, which is a more physical version of tag, and sepak takraw, volleyball using only the feet, have a place at the Asian Games.

Luzhou MRT line officially launched

Our president Ma Ying-jeou attended the inauguration ceremony of the Taipei MRT system's Luzhou Line Wednesday morning at Daqiaotou Station, where he offered his congratulations on the line's opening.

The line was to launch regular service at 2 p.m. today. It is expected to handle an average of 170,000 passenger-trips per day and cut the travel time for commuters between Taipei City and Luzhou in Taipei County to the west of the city by at least half. The new line, 12.5 kilometers in length, makes it easier for citizens of Taipei City and their neighbors in Taipei County to visit each other.

Riders with EasyCards will be able to travel on the line for free until Dec. 2.Construction on the line began eight years ago when Ma was mayor of Taipei, Taiwan's capital.

Vitamin E linked to increased risk of some strokes- Katherine Liao

 

(who)Researchers from France, Germany and the US studied (when)nine previous trials have (what)nearly 1,250 people is the chance of one extra haemorrhagic stroke - bleeding in the brain.

   

(why)Haemorrhagic strokes are the least common type and occur when a weakened blood vessel supplying the brain ruptures and causes brain damage.

(how)Researchers not only found that vitamin E increased the risk of this kind of stroke but also found that vitamin E could actually cut the risk of ischaemic strokes - the most common type of stroke.

So they believe vitamin E could cut the risk.

Paul the Foreteller Octopus Died

Paul is the octopus which fascinated soccer fans by accurately predict in advance the results of 2010 FIFA World Cup died at 26 October 2010. The Oberhausen Sea Life Centre spokesperson said that Paul died of natural causes in the aquarium in German.

Stefan Porwoll, the manager of aquarium said that his remains had been refrigerated now and they will be missed him very much.   

Although they have not decided the best way to commemorate the most popular marine life, they may set up a small dedicated graveyard for Paul in the future.

The Paul's fans would not have to feel sorrowful, the Oberhausen Sea Life Centre had already nurtured another octopus which is also called Paul that to continue enthusiasm of the"Psychic Octopus."

Tsunami in Indonesia

 Indonesia has been hit with two natural disasters at the same time and killed at least 113 people.  At 25 October 2010, the tsunami hit the Mentawai islands on Monday. After a powerful earthquake in Indonesia that’s over 7.7 on the Richter scale. That reason is “The distance from the epicenter was very short, there’s no time to act on an alert.” said Ridwan Jamaluddin, of the Indonesian Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology.

    After the earthquake, three-meter high tsunami struck the Mentawai islands off the west coast of Sumatra Island Monday night. Pagai Island is the most serious, which is accessible only by boat. Therefore, rescue workers from reaching the island immediately after the disaster. Meanwhile Indonesia Mount Merapi a volcanic eruption that has forced the hundreds of residents on the slopes. No alert in Indonesia tsunami is the most difficult challenge.
